A Faith-Centered Choral Experience For All Children and Youth

After School Choirs

The Heritage Youth Choirs at American Heritage School includes four ensembles to accommodate various ages and skill levels. Our mission is to promote enduring faith in Jesus Christ and musical excellence in the lives of members and audiences. Participants learn choral technique from an experienced staff of professional music educators. Gospel messages are instilled deeply in their hearts and minds as they sing high-quality, faith-centered choral literature.

The choirs at the Salt Lake City campus will combine with choirs from the American Fork Campus for performances, activities, and the summer tour.

The touring choir, the Heritage Youth Chorus, has collaborated with prominent artists—including Marie Osmond, Nathan Pacheco, GENTRI, and Lexi Walker—and has performed frequently on Temple Square. Since their founding in 2009, the choir has embarked on a yearly service and performance tour, sharing inspirational musical fireside programs in Latter-day Saint Stakes throughout the country.

Singers from across the globe can apply to be part of the Extended Choir to join the Heritage Youth Chorus on their yearly fireside tour.

Summer of 2026 will offer thrilling and ground-breaking opportunities for our Youth Chorus members:

+ For the first time ever, the Youth Chorus will go international! From 19 June – 2 July, the Youth Chorus will tour Great Britain. Please note: tour space is very limited, and returning members will receive priority.

+ Due to high demand for tour participation, HYC leadership will mount a second tour: from 6 – 13 June, the Heritage Youth Chorus will tour Texas.
