Course Description

This class lays the foundation for algebra and beyond. The course focuses on key mathematical concepts such as integers, fractions, decimals, ratios, proportions, and basic algebraic expressions. Through a combination of theoretical lessons, practice exercises, and problem-solving activities, students will build a solid understanding of pre-algebra concepts.

Students will learn to work with variables, solve simple equations, and understand the principles of the coordinate plane. The course also introduces basic geometry concepts and explores the relationships between shapes, areas, and volumes. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and applying concepts to real-world situations.

By the end of the course, students will be prepared for algebra and have a strong foundation in essential pre-algebra skills.
