Why tour our campus?

A lot can be learned from our website, printed materials and even your friends, but it isn’t until people truly experience our campus that they come to understand what makes American Heritage School such a special place.

What you will experience on your tour

At American Heritage School, we completely open up our program so you and your child may observe everything in action. We typically spend up to an hour covering those sections of our campus of greatest interest to you. We love your questions and invite you to bring them with you. Our teachers and students are familiar with the occasional tour group quietly entering and observing their classroom for a few minutes.

School hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 3:15 pm. We encourage you to visit during school hours when possible so you are able to get the full experience, see our teachers in action and maybe even talk to a student or two.

Tours after school hours are given up to 5:00 pm when our extra-curricular activities are talking place. These activities include, but are not limited to Robotics, Drama and various sports.

Hallowed Halls of Learning

Our school is housed in a decommissioned church building with a beautiful history. During the renovations, the program from it’s original dedication by Elder Harold B. Lee in 1966 was discovered. You can clink the image below to view the program and learn more about this building and the beautiful stained glass window that still adorns our performance hall.

Building Dedication

We were honored to have Elder Ronald A. Rasband, offer the dedicatory prayer for our Salt Lake City Campus. He was instrumental in securing this beautiful building for our school. You can view the program here.
