Micole Mayfield graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors in Communication: Public Relations and is currently working on a Masters of Fine Arts Teaching at the University of Utah. 

After working on marketing teams and political campaigns, she has found her passion for teaching and directing here at American Heritage. Micole has been performing and working in theater for over 15 years and believes that in the spotlight, we can discover the extraordinary in ourselves, each other, and the world around us. 

When she isn’t teaching or directing, she still actively performs and has a private voice studio on the side. She has seen how theatre helps students improve empathy, gain strong communication, build confidence, and build character on and off the stage.
